fix menu actions

replaces the floating groups/text I did in foo canvas dirs

correctly update in window move

add block and align ids so that empty columns can be removed from FToI hash

use gtkobject destroy code rather than gobject dispose,finalise

Change simplier than diff would make out.  mostly tabbing after addition of proceed flag to remove early return.
