peptide/cds up to main menu as per rt ticket # 50781

Mark found that sub item coords weren't being set correctly when doing
multiple selects of the sub items

get complaint:
./configure: line 32999: syntax error near unexpected token `1.4'
./configure: line 32999: `GTK_DOC_CHECK(1.4)'
probably because we're building without gtk-doc.m4 installed so aclocal can't localise it and automake/conf can't substitute macro into configure

always good to test stuff

Hopefully nothing else is broken
